Testing and Evaluation at the K&M Center Can Help You Pinpoint These Factors So Students Can Focus on their Strengths

At The K&M Center we have what’s called our “whole child approach.”

This approach has worked well for both parent and child because it considers not only how children process information, but also the many ways that other factors can affect their ability to achieve. 

Here’s how it works.

First, we assess your child for strengths and talents, as well as for any learning difficulties that may exist.

Next, we design a highly effective program that’s custom-fit to meet each child’s specific intellectual and emotional needs.

Students are full partners in this learning process, and gain insight into their unique learning styles.  It can be a very enlightening experience for these children.

We offer a variety of assessments to identify and measure various aspects of your child’s learning:

Psychoeducational Tests

Here we measure cognitive and academic strengths and weaknesses, identify learning styles, pinpoint any learning disabilities, and devise easy-to-understand remedies to assist students.

We choose from a wide variety of testing materials available.

3 testing sessions of approximately two hours each are needed to complete this testing phase.

Specific Subject Area Assessment

Here we identify the underlying issues causing difficulty with Reading, Writing or Math.

Teacher and Parent Questionnaires

Since there’s a great deal of learning that takes place outside the school environs, these thoughtful surveys provide insight into the student’s learning style both at home and school.

Evaluations offer a complete picture of a child's learning characteristics so a unique program can be designed that focuses on and strengthen the necessary skills to make academics easier.

Only when this process is complete do we move on to our programs.
