The K&M Center Philosophy      

                                                                    
At The K&M Center we believe that all children can perform to their potential when given the proper tools. We specialize in providing those tools.

The K&M Center gives students these essential tools by using a “whole child” approach to learning. We attend not only to students’ academic and cogntive processing skills, but also to the ways motivation and anxiety can affect their ability to achieve.

In addition to providing every student a personal connection with an Educational Specialist, the entire Center collaborates to help each child. Co-Directors Melissa Mullin, Ph.D., or Karen Fried, Psy.D., M.F.T., design each student’s treatment plan in collaboration with the Educational Specialist. The Educational Specialist closely monitors the student’s progress and provides progress notes which are reviewed weekly.

We build on student strengths and build areas of weakness. As we work with our students, we maintain close contact with parents and the school. We adjust our plan when needed to ensure that each student is recieving the best personalized instruction possible.
