WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SESSIONS?
 

Sessions last 55 minutes or more, depending upon the student’s attention span and treatment goals. During each session, the Educational Specialist and student follow prescribed programs and activities. Children begin with a fun warm-up activity which matches an area they are working on, then they focus on the programs from their treatment plan, and end with the reward of game time.  Our goal is to build trust and have fun while learning. We make sure each concept being taught is mastered before moving on to the next step, allowing the child to feel the thrill of success.

HOW CAN I HELP MY CHILD?

The partnership between parents and The K&M Center plays a crucial role in our students’ success. We have seen that understanding and supporting your child’s treatment goals and achievements yields the maximum benefit from Educational Therapy. It is our policy that Educational Specialists communicate with you weekly to discuss your child’s progress and to answer your questions. WHOM SHOULD I CALL WITH SCHEDULING OR BILLING QUESTIONS?

You will schedule all your child’s sessions with his or her Educational Specialist before treatment begins. Educational Specialists will try to accommodate occasional scheduling difficulties whenever possible, but we have found that children progress fastest when they attend regularly scheduled sessions.
