Karen Fried holds Masters degrees in both Human Development and Clinical Psychology, as well as a certificate in Educational Therapy from the College of Developmental Studies. A licensed MFT, she has practiced Educational Therapy and psychotherapy for over 15 years.

Melissa Mullin holds both Masters and Doctoral degrees in Education with an emphasis on Educational Psychology from UCLA. She has practiced as an Educational Psychologist for over 15 years.

Karen and Melissa supervise a team of professionals at The K&M Center who specialize in meeting children’s individual learning needs with respect and compassion. Each of our Educational Specialists has a Masters degree in Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field. Several hold a Ph.D. degree, and many have a counseling background. Educational Specialists receive on-going training and supervision with the latest research based programs and techniques. Most important, every Educational Specialist at The K&M Center demonstrates that magic blend of education, experience, and sense of fun optimal for helping students, as well as an outstanding ability to apply both classic and cutting-edge approaches.

Since 1994, The K&M Center has been providing quality learning experiences for students from kindergarten to high school. We continue to grow as educators, refining recognized methods and adding powerful new programs to help children meet the future with competence, confidence, and enthusiasm.
